Nice dark solid wood makes this table a value. My problem with it is that the way the extra leafs are held up, is really bad. We have a small place and purchases this for having guests over. My wife and I had to make a point of sitting at the ends that have the leaves, as even when I tried to modify the pieces that hold up the leaf, we had to be careful not to push to hard. Fortunately, I am a bit of a handyman, and I already have some ideas for better supports. Other hardware is great, and if you were'nt going to put any weight on the leaves, no problem. But,
a think perhaps the poor design, is reflected in the low price. The dimensions of this table were perfect for our needs, and it took weeks to find one this size that was'nt a round table. So I give it 4.75 for quality and general structure, but a 1.5 for the leaf design
